The Jack Miller Center Chairman’s Award for Academic Excellence

The Jack Miller Chairman’s Award for Academic Excellence is given to scholars in recognition of their distinguished record of scholarly achievement and for their outstanding record as a classroom educator.   The Award recognizes the recipients’ lasting contribution to the teaching and study of America’s Founding Principles and History, and recommends their example of excellence to other scholars in the field.

  • The Award carries a cash prize of $1000, and is given out in the fall of each academic year.
  • The deadline for the fall award is September 15th. Nominations for the prize should be submitted to Dr. Michael Andrews, Vice President for Academic Programs, The Jack Miller Center for Teaching America’s Founding Principles and History.  Nominations must include a letter specifying the candidate’s qualifications and suitability for the Award.  Nominations will be evaluated by Miller Center Staff and the Miller Center Academic Council.  Dr. Andrews can be reached at mandrews@gojmc.org.
