Bush administration, 2001-9—the Drug Czar. He is now Executive Vice President of the Hudson Institute in Washington, D.C. Previously he served in the Department of Education and the National Endowment for the Humanities. He is a graduate of Michigan State University and holds an M.A. from the University of Toronto.
