American Political Thought Seminar Series
This seminar provides a forum for introducing and discussing topics on the political history and philosophy of the United States.
The Scholl Center invites speakers to address issues of citizenship, democracy, sociology, and the influence of political history on contemporary politics and theory. While reading the pre-circulated paper is not required for these sessions, it is encouraged.
Proposals for the 2017-2018 seminars will be accepted from February 1, 2017, to June 1, 2017. To submit a proposal, please visit the Newberry Library’s webform and upload a one-page proposal, a statement explaining the relationship of the paper to your other work, and a brief CV. Applications will not be accepted via email or in hard copy.
