Florida Social Studies Summit

The Jack Miller Center, Sphere Education Initiatives, and the Lou Frey Institute are partnering to offer a two-day summit for Florida social studies educators, supervisors, and administrators.

Florida

The theme for this year’s summit is “Teaching America 250: An Historic Opportunity.” The summit will feature scholars, educators, and teaching specialists who will focus less on the division of this time period and more on the beauty behind the American story and founding principles, as we prepare to celebrate and teach the 250th Anniversary of our nation next year.

The program will take place at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Participants will receive a $200 stipend for participation.

If you would like more information or have questions about the summit, please contact Christopher Spinale at christopher.spinale@ucf.edu.
