Colleen Sheehan is Director of the Matthew J. Ryan Center at Villanova University. She has published articles in American Political Science Review, Review of Politics, and William and Mary Quarterly and other journals and has published two books, James Madison and the Spirit of Republican Self-Government (Cambridge, 2009) and The Mind of James Madison: The Legacy of Classical Republicanism (Cambridge, 2015).
