Civics Foundations Graduate Consortium
The Graduate Consortium is a partnership of universities committed to offering graduate education opportunities to K-12 civics and history teachers. The courses, certificates, and degrees offered through the Consortium emphasize content mastery and teaching with primary sources.
Deepen your expertise. Engage your students.
The Graduate Consortium offers affordable and accessible graduate degrees, certificates, and courses uniquely designed for K-12 civics and history educators. In courses taught by top scholars across the nation, teachers will deepen their knowledge of topics in American civics and history from the founding era to modern American political thought, with a special focus on reading and understanding primary sources.
Whether you are interested in a single course or pursuing a content-based degree, the Consortium will bolster your content knowledge and support your professional growth as a K-12 educator.

Curious about joining the Consortium?
The Jack Miller Center is eager to partner with universities to expand graduate education opportunities for K-12 educators. Consortium courses are taught by political science and history professors, are offered virtually to teachers nationwide, and tailor content and assignments to meet teachers’ needs. Joining the Consortium begins with bringing university administration on board, and JMC is here to support interested faculty in that process.
