David Ramsey is Professor and Chair of the Reubin O’D. Askew Department of Government at the University of West Florida, where he teaches and writes on constitutional law and political philosophy.

Publications include: Antitrust and the Supreme Court (2012); American Constitutionalism, Marriage, and the Family (with Patrick Cain, 2015); American Political Rhetoric (8th edition, with Peter Lawler and Robert Schaefer, 2023), and The Papers of Roger Brooke Taney, Volume I: The Bank War (2024). 

Dr. Ramsey earned his B.A. at Berry College, his M.A. at St. John’s College, and his Ph.D. in political science at Baylor University.
