Professor, Carthage College
Eric Pullin is a Professor of History at Carthage College. Pullin focuses research on Indian-American relations during the 20th century and has had his work published in journals including Intelligence and National Security and Diplomatic History. He teaches courses on the history of America, the history of India, and international relations.
Pullin co-founded and co-directs the Humanities Citizenship Initiative, a summer program that encourages at-risk students to develop a passion for pursuing a college education. Working from the assumption that high school students are eager to consider and discuss important ideas, the HCI develops the skills necessary for success in college by generating interest in the great works of the ancient and modern Western tradition.
Dr. Pullin earned a B.A. in history from Rockford College, an M.A. in history from Northern Illinois University, an A.M. in Labor and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois, and a Ph.D. in history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
