Jeffrey H. Bloodworth teaches modern American political history and genocide studies. In terms of the former, he teaches courses on the 1960s, presidential & congressional elections, and post-1945 America. For the latter, he teaches comparative genocide and a class on the Holocaust.
Dr. Bloodworth’s research specialty centers on contemporary United States Political history. His book, Losing the Center: A History of American Liberalism, 1968-1992 was published in 2013. Currently, he is midway through a biography on the former Speaker of the House, Carl Albert. America liberalism is his main area of knowledge. In addition to political history, he also dabbles in genocide studies, as shown in his two travel classes that involve studying genocide, human rights, the Holocaust, and the Bosnian genocide.
He earned his B.A. and M.A. from Missouri State University before receiving his Ph.D. from Ohio University.
