Michelle Schwarze is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Her research focuses on the intersection of moral psychology and political theory, especially in the eighteenth century and in Adam Smith’s works.

She is the author of Recognizing Resentment and has had research published in journals such as the American Political Science Review and the Journal of Politics.

Dr. Schwarze received her B.A. in political science and philosophy from the University of Nevada – Reno and her M.A. and Ph.D. in political science from the University of California – Davis.
