Peter Bowe is is the retired CEO of Ellicott Dredges LLC, the leading U.S. dredge manufacturer. In 2009, he was Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year for Maryland. In 2015, SmartCEO Magazine picked him as “CEO of the Year” for Baltimore.
He is the co-founder of the Bowe-Stewart Foundation with his wife, Barbara Stewart, which focuses on civic education and civil dialogue and also supports organizations in Chicago and Baltimore that expand economic opportunity for disadvantaged individuals.
Aside from his service on the Jack Miller Center Board, he serves on the boards of the World Trade Center Institute Baltimore, the Gilman School, and the DT Institute in Washington D.C. He received his BA magna cum laude from Yale University and his MBA with distinction from Harvard University. Peter also writes op-eds for newspapers about various issues.
