Aurélie McKinstry is the executive director of the Apex Foundation, a private family foundation in Bellevue, Washington, whose mission is to support programs that help children and families reach their highest potential by investing in organizations and programs that improve lives, strengthen communities, and empower individuals to achieve their full potential.
She has worked at the Apex Foundation since 2007, and previously served as a middle school teacher in math, Spanish, and reading. Aurélie holds a Master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a Bachelor’s degree from Rice University.
Aside from the JMC’s National Civics Council, Aurélie serves on the Engagement and Philanthropy Committee for the French American School of Puget Sound.
