Herbert M. Berg is the Chair of the Education Committee for the Board of Governors of The Society of the Cincinnati and a Board Member at the American Revolution Institute. Berg has an extensive background as a public education leader, with over 45 years of experience within large, public schools serving as a teacher, counselor, principal, and district superintendent. He also served as the President of the Washington Association of School Administrators.

Berg was twice awarded Superintendent of the Year by the State of South Carolina, is a recipient of the Washington Association of School Administrators’ Distinguished Service Award, and was named in the “Top 100 North American Executive Educators” by Executive Educators Magazine. Dr. Berg earned his B.A. at Seattle Pacific University, his M.A. at Seattle University, and his Ed.D. from Washington State University.
