Andrea Ray, Ph.D.

Academic Programs Officer

Andrea Ray joined the Jack Miller Center in May 2025. She received her B.A. in History from Pomona College, and her M.A in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago. She received her Ph.D. from the Committee on Social Thought at the University of Chicago in 2023 with a dissertation on Hegel’s critique of Spinoza. Before joining the Jack Miller Center, she was a postdoctoral teaching fellow in the Division of the Social Sciences at the University of Chicago, where she taught courses in political economy, social theory, and modern philosophy.

As Academic Programs Officer, Andrea assists in fostering the faculty pipeline and planning and executing seminars and conferences for our academic network.
