Lianne Cottrell

Teacher Education Fellow

Lianne Cottrell joined JMC in June 2024 as a Teacher Education Fellow. She teaches AP US Government and Politics and AP European History to high school students in northern Virginia. After completing her degree in political science at Villanova University, she is currently studying towards a master’s in history at the University of Edinburgh. 

Outside of the classroom, Lianne has served as a consultant to the Gilder Lehrman Institute’s US naturalization and citizenship test initiative and recently concluded the American Political Tradition Fellowship of the Jack Miller Center in Spring 2024.
