Alexander Hamilton was buried in New York City’s Trinity Churchyard, where his monument reads: “The Statesman of consummate Wisdom whose Talents and Virtues will be admired… long after this Marble shall have mouldered into Dust.” Unfortunately, it has not worked out that way.
