Join the Moynihan Center in partnership with The Jack Miller Center for a lecture by Dr. Greg Weiner, President of Assumption University, who will explore “Pat Moynihan’s American Founding—and Ours.”

To commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence, this is the second of two lectures exploring how democratic societies can maintain a commitment to truth while preserving space for legitimate disagreement. The lectures examine the Declaration’s reference to “self-evident truths” in light of Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan’s famous observation: “Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but not their own facts.”
