Symposium for Teachers at UW-Oshkosh: America’s First Government – The Articles of Confederation
The Universities of Wisconsin Office of Civic Engagement, in partnership with the Jack Miller Center, is hosting a one-day seminar held at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Part of the Universities of Wisconsin Office of Civic Engagement’s Teaching the Founding seminar series, this program will bring together social studies educators to discuss the creation and implementation of the Articles of Confederations. Scholar-led content sessions will guide participants through an analysis of relevant letters, speeches, and debates, while also providing a deep understanding of how the confederation era shaped the development of the U.S. Constitution.
Applications to this program are due October 9th. Participants will receive a $250 stipend upon completion of the program.
