Course Description: Using Jeffrey Rosen’s book, The Pursuit of Happiness, and a range of primary sources from the ancient world to early America, participants explore such concepts as virtue, order, temperance, and justice to think about the place of these values in contemporary conceptions of citizenship and civic education.
