Active States

Collaboration is the key to success. We work with partner faculty and civic education organizations to provide high-quality professional development workshops to K-12 civics and history teachers. Our state-by-state model allows us to respond to state-specific circumstances, while still leveraging our national network of university professors to benefit K-12 teachers. There is still much ground to cover, and our partnerships are key to achieving national impact.

Current programs for teachers

Since 2016, our Founding Civics professional development seminars have connected 3,200+ K-12 teachers with over 100 scholars from across the country to engage in the deep study of our country’s founding ideas, documents, and history.

Thanks to our generous donors, many of these events are offered at no cost to teachers and include a stipend for completion of the program.
