The University of Nevada, Las Vegas will host a talk by R. Shep Melnick on April 16 at 3:30pm. With the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence approaching, shifting narratives and new civic initiatives raise an important question: How should students study this complex and contested history, and how should teachers teach it? Melnick, professor of American politics at Boston College, will give a talk on this subject.
