Virtual Grad Course with Coastal Carolina: Advanced American Government

The Jack Miller Center is supporting a virtual graduate course for educators this summer with Coastal Carolina University.

The course, taught by Coastal Carolina faculty members Kimberly Hurd Hale and Drew Kurlowski, will examine the fundamental principles and major institutions of American government through the close study of primary sources. Topics will include natural rights and the American founding, the Federalist – Anti-Federalist debates, interpreting the Constitution, and slavery and civil rights.

The course will meet Monday through Friday synchronously on Zoom. Meeting times will be announced soon.

The course is open to teachers nationwide and is tuition-free for active teachers. Participants will receive 3 graduate credits upon successful completion of the course.
