Rick Atkinson on the American Revolution

Three-time Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Rick Atkinson will visit West Point on September 10 for a series of engagements centered on the American Revolution and the meaning of freedom as the nation marks its 250th anniversary. Atkinson will deliver a JMC-sponsored lecture to more than 500 cadets enrolled in American politics courses. His visit will also include a meetings with faculty and meals with cadets enrolled in the American Foundations minor. Together, these activities will give cadets sustained opportunities to engage one of the nation’s foremost historians on the ideas and historical experiences that shaped America.
