What Does the Declaration of Independence Declare? with Roosevelt Montás
JMC Academic Council Member and Fellow Roosevelt Montás will give a presentation on democratic discourse at City College of New York on February 11 at 3:30pm.
As the United States approaches the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, a pressing question emerges: How can democratic societies uphold a commitment to truth while preserving space for legitimate disagreement? During this lecture, Dr. Roosevelt Montás, Professor at Bard College, explores a fundamental question: What does the Declaration of Independence declare?
