Symposium for Teachers at North Greenville University: Investigating Foundational Questions in American Civics

North Greenville University, with the support of the Jack Miller Center, is hosting a symposium for South Carolina social studies teachers.

The symposium will cover a range of topics in the American political tradition and will include primary sources from thinkers such as James Madison, Alexis de Tocqueville, Benjamin Franklin, and Abraham Lincoln. Scholar sessions will be led primarily by Professor Nicholas Higgins of North Greenville University.

This symposium is approved by the South Carolina Department of Education, and participants will earn 20 renewal credits upon completion of the program. Participants will also receive a $250 stipend to defray the cost of attendance. The deadline to register is May 12.
